Panky’s crazy drug dealing days might be over, the Russian mob is after him and he needs to get away from Amsterdam – fast!

Chris has finally settled down and lives with his family in the depths of the Philippine jungle. He’s put his sordid past well and truly behind him, or he thinks he has.

Although Panky hasn’t seen Chris for over a decade, hiding in the Philippines seems perfect, the guys grew up together, they were punks together and they were ‘partners in grime’. What could possibly go wrong?

Unfortunately, Panky’s in for some major surprises!

Chris is very wealthy now, certainly not the guy he once was and the Philippine culture is so very, very different to Amsterdam’s.

And not only that, but the Russians are on their way.

Maybe it’s time for Panky to ‘Cut Limbo’ while he still can?

about the author
British born Peter L Masters has been a writer for many years and Cut Limbo is his first published novel. Back in the late 70′s and early 80′s he was the singer/songwriter for cult punk band Spasmodic Caress. The controversial “Hit the Dead” track was released by 4AD in 1980 and decades later re-released by US punk band The Spits. Subsequent tracks such as “Waiting” “SPG” and “Ambition” are now on YouTube. The inspiration for Cut Limbo comes from a combination of experiences gained whilst travelling and living in Europe and Asia, a love of the punk rock era and everything it stood for, and a passion for books and movies. Cut Limbo was originally written by Peter as a screenplay and inspired by classic movies such as Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Jackie Brown and Get Shorty. (A big thanks to Quentin Tarantino and Elmore Leonard) The story of what went on at Schipol airport, Amsterdam, just had to be told.

Free: Sea Stirred

11 May 2013

Dreamy, secretive Martha, used to being the odd one out, is intending to spend her holiday with her extended family keeping well out of the way of her exuberant cousins and enjoying her own company. This year though, on the Cornish coast, she meets Alaric, an outsider in his dysfunctional family, and for the first time she begins to open up.

The story is told from the perspective of both Martha and her mother, Cassie, who finds her daughter very difficult to understand, and who is trying to write a novel but finding that one of the characters is taking on a life of its own.

This is the story of how that summer week in Cornwall stirs Martha forever, and how she finally begins to realise where she fits in, with both Alaric and Cassie. It’s for any parent who doesn’t understand their offspring, any teenager whose parents are a complete mystery to them, and it’s also for anyone who has travelled the road to Cornwall with rising anticipation.

Mostly, though, it’s for anyone who remembers the excitement, the anguish and the microscopic intensity of their first relationship. And if you don’t remember, this will bring it back . . . .

about the author

Caroline was one of those children who scribbled stories constantly, always the first few chapters before getting bored and starting another one. Usually she was the heroine in some sort of thinly-veiled disguise, quite often rather hard-done-by, and always considerably more athletic/attractive/adventurous than was in fact the case in real life. But that’s a perk of being the author!

Years later, she finally finished a novel, ‘Sea Stirred’, set on the Atlantic coast in Cornwall, UK. She then consigned it to a drawer and plunged into novel number two, which an agent is considering once it has been revised a bit, but in the meantime she decided to stick her head above the parapet and give ‘Sea Stirred’ an outing on Amazon.

Caroline is an English graduate and former marketing manager, and is married with a son. Do visit her blog, a nostalgic wander through the classic children’s books she loves most: http://www.carolinewilliamsblog.wordpress.com. Her website is: http://www.caroline-williams.com

Tales from the Crib

11 May 2013

“Jennifer Coburn’s Tales From the Crib is a deliciously fun, laugh-out-loud read about one woman’s journey toward motherhood. You won’t be able to put this book down until you arrive at the final, satisfying page.”

- Emily Giffin, author of Something Blue

“I absolutely loved this book. Jennifer Coburn has written a smart, modern day tale that will have you laughing out loud through every delicious page.”

- Karen Quinn, author of The Ivy Chronicles

Reading about Lucy Klein is like rooting for your funny best friend. An uplifting, highly amusing tale that will have readers laughing, crying, but most of all staying with this heroine because they want her to find her happily ever after.”

- Adele Parks, author of Playing Away

Talk about bad timing!

When Lucy Klein gets her positive pregnancy results, she’s overjoyed. She and her husband Jack have been trying to get pregnant for years throughout their rocky marriage. But before she can tell him the big news, Jack has something he needs to announce – he wants a divorce!
Rather than split up, Lucy and Jack decide to live together as friends. This way, they can share expenses and parenting responsibilities. Co-parenting is a fine deal for Jack who is back in the dating scene by Lucy’s third trimester of pregnancy, but is a frustrating one for Lucy who has unfulfilled sexual fantasies about every man from restaurant delivery boys to puppeteers.

Meanwhile, Lucy’s mother is taking over her life. The grand dame of Planet Earth, Anjoli frequently visits her daughter to share her own brand of maternal wisdom.

As Anjoli leaves her Drama Queen bookstore to “help” Lucy with baby Adam, the new grandmother has an affair with baby’s pediatrician, hosts two weddings (including cousin Kimmy’s wedding to herself), and constantly frets about which kind of pie to serve guests. With a cast of family and friends from Lucy’s Jewish aunts to Junior League neighbor, Candace, Tales From the Crib is the story of how one baby can bring people together – so they can drive each other nuts!

A 2012 RT Book Reviews Indie Press/Self-Published Contemporary Romance Nominee!

Most good daughters would say they owe their fathers everything. Marisa Peruzzo, Mafia princess, would.
She owed him for killing her fiancé.
She owed him for destroying her mother.
She owed him for chaining her to the ‘family business’.
And she owed him for taking away her lifelong friend.
Payback’s a bitch.

***
FBI meets Mafia Princess:

Dave sat up straighter when she entered the bar. Sandro had promised the contact would have useful information and be immediately recognizable, but he never specified male or female. Was this his informant? Carlo Peruzzo’s daughter. The Mafia princess herself.

Her gaze scanned the room until she saw him. Though her lips were pressed in a straight line, a sparkle flashed in her eyes as if she knew just how she had shocked him.Dave realized his heart rate had kicked up a few notches when their eyes had locked. His jaw would have dropped if he hadn’t been the kind of guy trained not to show his emotions.

She walked purposefully toward him, making her way through the crowded tables. Black designer jeans hugged nice curvy hips, and her full breasts were covered with a pink plaid, pearl-button western shirt. Interesting color choice. A leather belt wrapped around her waist, and his focus narrowed. Best he could tell the belt was pink, too. And there were some kind of pink jewels inlaid in the buckle.

He hid a smile. The only thing that would complete the color coordination was if she had on-he looked down, yep, pink cowboy boots. Pretty-in-pink cowgirl-Mafia princess. That certainly wasn’t an image he expected to see. With her head high, and her gaze fixed on him she seemed unaware-or unaffected-by the attention she garnered. And she certainly got a fair share of stares. He saw more than one man pause with a drink halfway to his mouth, head swiveling to keep track as she walked past.

Dave had never seen the high-and-mighty Mafia daughter in anything other than expensive business suits, with her hair pulled back and her makeup understated, but tonight she wore this chic knock-off cowgirl look well. With her dark wavy hair swinging free around her shoulders, her smooth olive skin glowing, and lips a luscious color of pink to match as well, she could raise the lust level in a saint.

Dave was no saint.
